I’m really getting into these Giveaways and just love how much you all are responding to them. This month we polled on Facebook to see what you wanted for a giveaway and the resounding answer was a Vitamix. I hear ya! It’s one of my all-time favorite pieces of kitchen gear, and I honestly don’t know how I’d live without it.
Little story: I got my first Vitamix as a Christmas gift a few years ago. Traveling through customs on our way back to LA (we were in Canada for the holidays) the border guard asked if we were bringing back any gifts. I said no, and he looked at my then-boyfriend with raised eyebrows. I could see what he was getting at and rushed in with, “Oh no, don’t mis-understand. He got me a great gift! It’s the most amazing blender ever! But we left it in LA.”
The border guard didn’t miss a beat: “Let me guess, a Vitamix?”
Now I was the one looking confused. He sighed and said “Yeah, my wife has one. Says it changed her life.”
