During these times of heightened stress, it’s harder than ever to come back to ourselves and get grounded. We know that being in a stress-state compromises the immune system, but even knowing that is more stressful than anything else! How can we be in a relaxed state right now with everything going on in the world?

I’ve been grappling with this as much as anyone else, and so I invited a practitioner I’ve been blessed to work with over the last year, Margaret Townsend, to come share some of her powerful tools with us.

Margaret is a breathworker. I had no idea what that was until a friend gifted me a session with her. It took me months to actually book the session, and as soon as I did, I only wished I’d done it earlier. It was truly transformative.

To my delight, Margaret agreed to come chat with us. in this interview she explains what breathwork is and why it’s so powerful, and then she walks us through an exercise you can do right along with us to get centered, grounded, and move into parasympathetic (relaxation) state. It takes only a few minutes and the results are profound!
