It’s hard to believe that food has become entertainment. I still remember that you could count on one hand back in the day the number of cooking shows on tv. Now, we have dedicated channels, cupcake wars, kid chef contests….you name it.

While the abundance of shows can be enticing…it’s also overwhelming. Who has time to watch everything?

No worries. I’ve done the research for you. I’ve compiled Eat Naked Kitchen’s list of the top 5 food shows currently available on Netflix.

Admittedly, I’ve never been interested in the celebrity cooking culture. Yet, I do love learning about food and culture.

This list of the best food shows on Netflix is updated monthly with all-new choices, so be sure to return the next time you’re hungry for food specific shows!

Somebody Feed Phil

Host: Phil Rosenthal

Rating: TV-14

Length: 3 seasons; episodes approximately 60 min each

He created the show Everyone Loves Raymond and this show has him traveling around sharing his love of cuisine. He brings his comedy chops too! A fun time learning plus season 3 lands May 29.

Ugly Delicious

Host: David Chang

Rating: TV-MA

Length: 2 seasons; each episode on average 50 minutes

If you liked Anthony Bourdain’s Parts Unknown, then you’ll like Ugly Delicious.  David Chang is the restaurateur behind Momofuku among other things. He knows his food and is willing to try things most of us wouldn’t be in the same room with. A fun, likable show.

The Curious Creations of Christine McConnell

Host and Creator: Christine McConnell

Rating: TV-PG

Length: 6 episodes all under 30 minutes

I’m not usually into baking shows but this show is flat out unsual and fun. The Curious Creations of Christine McConnell only lasted one season, but this innovative and unique show is worth the watch!

Million Pound Menu

Host:Fred Siriei

Rating: TV-MA

Length: 2 seasons; each episode approximately 60 min.

Million Pound Menu is basically Shark Tank for for chefs and restaurateurs. It’s suspensful, dramatic and fun to see the feedback and reactions.

The Big Family Cooking Showdown

Hosts: Nadiya Hussain and Zoe Ball

Rating: TV-PG

Length: 2 seasons; each episode averages 60 minutes

Imagine if you’re entire family was in a cooking competition. The Big Family Cooking Showdown is that. This show is both enjoyable and nerve-racking as I imagine my own family on the show.
